Agents’ fees - the property prices that you see on this website always include the agents fees unless otherwise stated and likewise in estate agents’ windows. Agents’ fees vary from 5% to 10% depending on the agent. The agents’ fees are always paid at completion stage.
Notaires’ fees : the notaires’ fees vary between 6 and 7% at the moment on an old property. Notaires’ fees are reduced on properties under 5 years old and are 3%. Depending on how you purchase the property and how you wish the property to be left with regards to your children, you might need to budget further costs for setting up a change of matrimonial regime for example or an SCI which is a civil company. We will always advise you of the costs involved at the time of making this decision.

The taxes due once you have bought your property
Taxe d’habitation : (residents' tax). This tax is paid annually usually in October and paid by the person who is owner of the property on the 1st January of the year you purchase. You are informed of the approximate cost at the time of purchase.
