"In 2005 my husband fell in love with a derelict farmhouse near Salies de Bearn and impulsively bought it. (That's the last time I'm letting him out alone).
My heart sank when I saw what he had taken on and then a friend put us in touch with Julia who has become our guardian angel. She navigated us through the complexities of property law in France and now we are the proud owners of a 7 bedroomed (renovated) home.
None of this would have been possible without Julia's expertise and friendly help. She even stepped in to hold my hand when my husband was rushed into intensive care in Bayonne where his life was saved. French law is complicated enough but my school girl french couldn't cope with heart and kidney failure.
All's well that ends well but much of our happy conclusion is due to Julia - long may she flourish.
